« New Guide to Tools for Resources for Identifying and Managing Invasive Species »

Our surveys indicate a majority of managers in our region want more information about how prescribed fire impacts invasive species. In our new fact sheet, we provided guides to searching databases to help you cut to the chase and find information about fire and the invasive species that occur in our region as quickly as possible.

If you've never used the Fire Effects Information System -- or felt it took too long to find what you needed --check out our new fact sheet featuring this comprehensive database.

The fact sheet features several tools provided by The Midwestern Invasive Plant Network, including:

  • an interactive weed ID tool
  • an interactive management and control database
  • monitoring tools

You can view or download the fact sheet below, or go directly to the PDF here.

Ready to use these tools? You can access them via our database page.

Special thanks to Anders Gurda, M.S. candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, advised by Mark Renz, Dept. of Agronomy and Extension Weed Specialist.
